The Joliet Community Calendar Is Now Live!

Our new fraternal leaders website includes a feature that allows you to submit your upcoming events and to display those events in our consolidated calendar. This is the mechanism that we want you to use to drive your membership drive reporting and also use it to publicize any events in your district or council that you want broader exposure across the diocese and state leadership teams. We will require that you load all upcoming membership drives via this tool and we encourage you to load any other event that you want to raise the visibility for outside of just your council.

The process is simple:

  • Navigate to the Submit An event page (URL is https://jolietdc.org/events/community/add/);
  • Complete the fields requested for your event;
  • Click the Submit Event button at the bottom of the page; and,
  • Wait for review before the event is published.

Once you submit your event, it will be reviewed for errors and issues by ADC McCarthy or ADC Llanes (DC Enos is last-resort backup). Once it is approved for publication, it will go live on the calendar here!

A few things to note:

  • Any flyer or pictures that you want to use must be in .JPG or .PNG format. The calendar software does not support PDF at this time. See here for a quick tutorial for how to convert PDF to JPG in Windows 10.
  • Leave the events categories, tags, organizers and costs fields blank. Rick or I will update that during the review.
  • Provide complete address information for the venue for the event. It will make the event posting more relevant and make it easier to find your event.

    Once it is approved, it will go live and will be included in the Joliet calendar events list. That is it! As far as displaying the events, the default is set to a List view. It looks like this:

    If you prefer a calendar view, select Month rather than List and it looks like this:

    We envision that this website’s event calendar will be the go-to repository for events happening across the Joliet diocese. Please feel free to add your events to help us build a sense of community as Joliet Leads The Way!
