DESCRIPTION:Dr. John Saran will be speaking about simple strategies to improve your brain function and avoid decline.  Many of us are either worried about or are facing issues with memory. Or we know of loved ones that are facing these issues. Dr. John Saran is board certified in both General Internal Medicine as well as Geriatric Medicine and a fellow at the American College of Physicians. With an MD from Loyola Medical School\, he has been caring for patients for over 40 years. Dr. Saran lectures nationally on Nutrition\, Vitality\, Genetic screening and Health Aging. He will address the rising epidemic of neurologic disorders in young and old and share solutions we all can implement to optimize brain health as we age.There are several ways people of all ages can improve their cognitive abilities and avoid/defer cognitive decline.  40 minute presentation with Q&A following.  Cash bar with food for purchase open at 5PM.

Along the way\, we will recite the Litany of St. Joseph\, the Holy Rosary\, and sing hymns while carrying banners\, flags\, and sacramentals of our faith. \n\n\nWhy:\n\nHonor the Head of the Holy Family as the timeless model of true masculinity and a beacon of fortitude and strength\nBear public witness to the beauty and dignity of Catholic culture.\nSeek St. Joseph’s intercession as we take up spiritual arms of fasting\, prayer\, and the sacraments in defense of Holy Mother Church.\nOffer reparation for sins\, grow in holiness\, and inspire others to grow in their faith.\n\nWhen:  Sunday\, May 4\, 2025(rain or shine).\n\nHigh Mass from 10:00 – 11:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale\, Illinois.\nMarch departs after mass with expected arrival at 1:30pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet\, Illinois\nBrief reflection in the Church following the march\nFellowship & optional lunch available for purchase outside of the church from on-site vendors\nConcludes at 3:00pm \nWhere:  A 3.6-mile walk fromSt. Joseph Church in Rockdaleto St. Joseph’s Church in Joliet\nLearn More & Register:\nLogistics: This is a coordinated\, 3.1-mile walk organized as a single group marching together. Ensure you have arranged a ride to pick you up at St. Joseph’s Parish in Joliet after the procession. It has been suggested to coordinate with other families to park on both sites and ride share before and after the procession. \nWhat to Bring: Bring good walking shoes\, appropriate attire the day of (e.g. umbrella\, jacket\, etc)\, a Rosary and any necessities required for a 3.1 mile / 1 – 1.5 hour walk. Only water bottles will be provided during the procession. \nFood will be available for purchase at St. Joseph’s Church in Joliet after the procession. \nRegistration: There is a required $10 donation per gentleman or $20 for father and sons to defray the event cost.
