Greetings on behalf of our Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly and our State Deputy Lloyd Reinkensmeier. In August, Councils are preparing for programming, charities, and membership. Review your membership goals, prepare your program calendar, and let’s commit once again to meet Council State Charitable Goals and to attain Star Council status in this 2025-2026 fraternal year!
It is an honor and a pleasure to notify all of you that one of our own, Christopher “Chris” Simon has been awarded Top District Deputy of the Order for the fraternal year 2025-2026. District Deputy Simon, a Past Grand Knight of Illini Council 2782 and current member of St. John Council 3738, was the driving force and instrumental in the development and institution of new council 18889, St. Pier Giorgio Frassati Council at St. Isaac Jogue Parish in Hinsdale, IL. A STAR District Deputy, he was only a couple members away from achieving ALL STAR District Deputy Honors last fraternal year with five of his six councils attaining the prestigious STAR Council Award.
In his personal life Mr. Simon is a long-time parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Westmont, where he also served as their Director of Communications and Development until signing on with Bishop’s Robert Barron’s Word on Fire as their Marketing Manager. Chris has an amazing story and was featured in February’s Downers Grove Living Magazine. Chris is an Eagle Scout, and while not serving the order, he is an avid drummer who you may see sitting in at local establishments. Congratulations! Brother Sir Knight and District Deputy Chris Simon on a job well done.

Joliet Chapter
- Save the date for the Bishop’s Burse October 18th at Our Lady of Mercy in Aurora. There will be a 4 pm Mass and then dinner following immediately after in the parish center. More information will be coming, and tickets will be available for purchase in August.
- The next chapter meeting will be on August 28th at Queen of Apostles. Dinner at 6, meeting at 7.
