START! Your SP-7 Now. Start from your last fraternal year’s success and carry it forward into this fraternal year.
The Faith in Action program model serves as the primary framework through which councils engage in religious, charitable & fraternal service. Faith in Action organizes council activities into four distinct, mission-driven categories (Four Core Pillars):
Faith
Family
Community
Life
To achieve the Columbian Award, councils must demonstrate excellence in each of these program areas earning 1 credit per category.
Intellectual Disabilities Drive (Tootsie Roll): It’s time to plan and get organized for this charitable fund raiser in September.
Coats for Kids Program – there are three easy steps to a successful Coats for Kids Drive. PLAN, ORDER, DISTRIBUTE. There are 12 coats per case at about $247.38 for Toddler, Child, and Youth. About $304.24 for Teen and Adult sizes, price includes shipping. These are last year’s prices from KnightsGear.com and maybe a bit more for this fraternal year. We hope to get the State Council orders completed in October so that the coats arrive quickly and can be DISTRIBUTED in November. No kid should go to school without a winter coat!
Note that new programs have been added this year. Councils are encouraged to review these programs to see if they’re right for the council. The new programs are:
Family
Build-a-Bed
Quinceanera Support
Remembering Our Faithful Departed
Faith
Imitating Saint Juan Diego
Viva Cristo Rey
Community
Bright Futures
Celebrating Our Catholic Heritage
Life
Gospel of Life
Holy Hour for Life with Our Lady of Guadalupe
